How can physiotherapy help my rabbit?
Physiotherapy can help your rabbit recover from injury or surgery, reduce pain, improve joint mobility, improve muscle power and performance, manage lifelong degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis.
Some of the most common conditions treated by The Animal Physiotherapist are;
- Pain
- Lameness or stiffness
- Soft tissue injuries including tendon, ligament, and muscle injuries
- Post fracture management
- Osteoarthritis
- Neurological disease
- Wound healing
- Recovery from surgery to facilitate return to previous function
- Reduced activity in older rabbits

- Difficulty walking or getting up from lying
- Hunched posture
- Reluctance to move
- Refusal to play or lack of interest in favourite toys
- Changes in their normal way of moving around

- Lack of co-ordination
- Change in behaviour including reluctance to be handled and aggression
- Nervous and freezing with ears flat against their body
- Excessive grinding of teeth
